What inspired me to do this project.

Music is a passion that fortunately has remained strong throughout my life even though at one point I had just about entirely given it up. Early on while playing bass for an amateur group, I had all the enthusiasm of a young kid believing that, that big break was just around the corner. Myself, Dave on guitar, Billy on drums and Van also on guitar, together we formed the core of this group we called Magnitude. We were good and we knew it. We would be the next Earth, wind and fire. Our fans thought so too. But we quickly learned that in this busisness, its not what you know, but who you know. Being in our early twenties, and faced with increasing responsibilities, we soon broke up and sought work that could pay the bills. I lost contact with Billy and Van, but Dave and I remained close friends and he’s one of my biggest supporters today.
So I took a civil service job and settled into a normal routine. In other words, I was in a rut. For several years, I did absolutely nothing musically, but I did try my hand at several businesses that promptly failed including a delivery service and a barber shop. One day I was asked to participate in a talent show and it seems as though the passion was reborn. I didn’t do too much with it at the time because I got married shortly after that and the wife did not want to hear about my music career. I had to focus on running a family. However, the marriage still went south, and I was at one of the lowest points in my life. Not only was I going through a divorce, I was suffering financially from failed business attempts and my mood was affecting my job. Though I had written some tracks during this time I did nothing with it partly because I knew no one in the business and I really didn’t know what to do. And partly because I was so distracted.
It was music and my aging keyboard that kept me afloat. I kept playing and writing tunes here and there as a hobby. After I finally got tired of moping in mess, A light came on and I could see life could still be good. Just got a big raise too. This experience taught me a lot. One thing is that life is what you make it. I made some adjustments in my thinking and rebuilt my life. I decided that with or without a partner, I was going to become a property owner and purchased a condo. I was owning for the same as I was renting for and quickly built up equity and a decent bank account. I decided that it was okay to invest in me. I purchased a new keyboard, continued writing and when I had enough material that I was satified with,I financed the production of the CD. This project kept me busy over the better part of three years. Not only has it helped me but I saw where doing this served as inspiration to others who watched me take on this project and saw it to completion. Because of this CD I believe I now have a story to tell that could help others by showing them that in spite of seemingly difficult circumstances, with focus, due diligence and a positive outlook, you can redirect your destiny and fulfill your dreams from within. So if my journey serves as a positive role model to someone, then this whole effort would have been well worth it. This is what “Unlimited Potential” means to me. I hope that you are not just reading this, but will listen to the CD as well.
