Music is a passion that fortunately has remained strong throughout my life even though at one point I had just about entirely given it up. Early on while playing bass for an amateur group, I had all the enthusiasm of a young kid believing that, that big break was just around the corner. Myself, Dave on guitar, Billy on drums and Van also on guitar, together we formed the core of this group we called Magnitude. We were good and we knew it. We would be the next Earth, wind and fire. Our fans thought so too.
I’m still getting folks asking, “where’s the lyrics?” Ok. So now I say, you write the lyrics. I am announcing a lyric writing contest. Choose a track from the Unlimited Potential CD. Write some awesome lyrics…win a cash prize.
In the case of CD101.9 in New York, the only smooth jazz station changed its format from smooth jazz to rock in the blink of an eye without any notice to its listeners. One day it was jazz, the next day it was rock. To my knowledge, there was never an on air explanation. I finally found out that it all came down to advertising dollars.
